The Polish CS2 scene has just received a fresh impulse: one of the country’s most renowned players, Paweł “dycha” Dycha, has officially returned to competitive action. After months of searching for a new home and a short stand-in stint with Inner Circle, the 27-year-old has signed with Betclic Apogee Esports, replacing Oskar “hfah” Wroński in the starting lineup, who has been moved to the bench. This is not just a big-name signing. It’s a return to roots, a fresh opportunity for Betclic, and a moment the Polish scene has been waiting for.
Guess who's back 😎

The road to return: a break, reflection, and renewed ambition
After departing from ENCE at the end of 2023, dycha joined Monte, but by February 2025 he announced his departure from the active roster, citing the need for a break. In interviews and social media posts, he hinted that he would only return after BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. His absence sparked discussion in the community — some speculated whether this was the end of his career or just the beginning of a new chapter.
In March, the story took a turn. dycha declared his readiness to return and joined the newly formed Inner Circle as a stand-in, competing in a few events. The highlight was qualifying for ESEA Advanced Season 54, proving that the motivation was still there, the form remained solid, and the experience was an undeniable asset.
Betclic: a new challenge, familiar ambitions
Betclic Apogee, the Polish squad, is no stranger to high-level play. In the spring, they stunned the scene with wins over Astralis and The MongolZ at PGL Bucharest 2025, but consistency slipped away afterward, and the team dropped below 50th in the Valve Regional Standings. A spark was needed — and dycha’s signing might be just that.
This move looks mutually beneficial: the team gains a seasoned world-class player, while dycha gets a chance to return with a project where he’s trusted with a pivotal role.
Replacing hfah: a roster shift with big implications
Oskar “hfah” Wroński had been with Betclic since the beginning of the year, but his recent individual stats and in-game impact declined. Moving him to the bench was a logical decision, considering the team’s ambitions and the need for a proven rifler.
dycha will take on not just hfah’s spot, but the driving force role — much like he had during his successful years with ENCE.
The first test: Fragadelphia 19 in Canada
dycha’s debut with Betclic will come at Fragadelphia 19, a tournament set to be held in Canada. The team has already confirmed participation, with notable contenders including:
- Fluxo
- NRG
- M80
- Betclic Apogee
It’s not a Major, but it’s the perfect proving ground to test chemistry, integrate dycha, and ease back into competitive rhythm.
The new Betclic roster with dycha: potential and promise
Current Betclic Apogee roster:
- Patryk “Demho” Tomaszewski – in-game leader, anchor
- Wojciech “Prism” Zięba – consistent rifler with solid April ratings
- Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski – young, ambitious entry
- Milan “hypex” Polowiec – rising flex player
- Paweł “dycha” Dycha – star rifler with elite LAN experience
- Jędrzej “Bogdan” Rokita – coach
- Oskar “hfah” Wroński – benched
In this lineup, dycha has every chance to become the team’s backbone and a mentor for its younger core.
dycha + Betclic = a shot at revival?
dycha’s return is more than a transfer — it’s a second chance. For the player, it’s an opportunity to reignite his career. For the team, it’s a chance to climb into the global top 30.
And most importantly, it symbolizes a period of stabilization for the Polish scene after years of uncertainty.
If the synergy between dycha and the young Betclic core clicks — we might just witness another great CS2 story begin. And it starts in just a few days, in Canada.
