With the conclusion of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, the traditional summer offseason has officially begun — a time of rotations, transfers, and major roster decisions. Teams that fell short of their goals are rethinking their strategies, while players are searching for new challenges. This article covers all the major moves on the 2025 summer transfer market.

Metizport — First Change: hampus Benched

Swedish organization Metizport has officially announced that Hampus “hampus” Poser is no longer part of their starting lineup. In a statement on Twitter, the team said it was time to rethink their approach and explore new directions.

Hampus played 105 maps for Metizport, maintaining a 1.02 rating. His status is currently listed as “benched”, and the organization has yet to announce who will take his place.

Current Metizport roster:

  • adamb — 1.12 rating
  • Plopski — 1.11
  • L00m1 — 1.00
  • isak — 0.97
  • hampus — benched

A replacement is expected to be announced in the near future.

After NAVI’s semifinal loss to Team Vitality at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, team captain Aleksib hinted that roster changes could be on the horizon.

I think something’s going happen after this… – said Aleksib in a post-match interview.

After NAVI’s semifinal loss to Team Vitality at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, team captain Aleksib hinted that roster changes could be on the horizon. The community is already speculating on who might leave the squad. The most commonly mentioned names are jL and b1t, though no official confirmation has been given. According to insider KRL, NAVI are indeed looking to replace jL and iM, with internal promotions or a full restructure being considered. One possible move could be the promotion of Makazze from NAVI Junior, but this depends on whether the organization decides to sell their academy roster to Cloud9, as rumored.

The CS2 summer transfer window is just getting started, but it’s already clear that major changes are coming to top-tier teams. For some, this is an opportunity to start fresh; for others, it’s a risk of losing their spot on the big stage. The coming weeks may bring blockbuster announcements from G2, Falcons, BIG, Liquid, and more.

G2 Esports: Searching for Reinforcements

After a disappointing end to the first half of the season, G2 are actively working on roster changes. According to insider KRL, the organization initially sought to sign NertZ from Team Liquid, and the player himself was reportedly very interested in the move. However, Liquid refused, as KRL put it, because he’s their “only good player,” and his contract still has around 1.5 years left.

G2 are also considering young talent, with names like zweih from Nemiga and xKacpersky being among the options — the latter already reported in earlier rumors. These potential changes aim to refresh the team’s dynamic, which has recently fallen short of both fan and analyst expectations.

Team Spirit: Perfecto as the First Piece

Team Spirit are also on the verge of major roster changes. According to KRL, the team is planning two replacements, with Perfecto set to become the first new addition. His transfer would come at no cost to Spirit, likely due to an expired contract or internal agreement with his former club.

It’s currently unknown who he would replace, but the move suggests a bold rebuild for a team looking to establish consistency at the international level. The mystery surrounding the second potential change only adds to the anticipation of Spirit’s next announcement.

The MongolZ prepare to unveil their academy roster

The MongolZ have officially announced that they will soon reveal their academy lineup. The team’s brief tweet quickly gained traction, sparking interest among fans and analysts alike. Following the meteoric rise of their main roster on the international stage, launching an academy appears to be a natural step toward long-term development. The lineup is expected to feature young talents from Mongolia and other Asian countries, allowing The MongolZ to invest in the future of regional Counter-Strike.

First Changes After the Major: New Coach and AWPer Join Chinggis Warriors

Chinggis Warriors have announced roster changes following their historic Major debut. Head coach Badral “Carnage” Purevkhuu, who led the team to victory at MESA League Season 4 and guided them to their first-ever Major, has left his position less than a year after joining.

He has been replaced by Munkh-Ochir “Redka” Myagmarsuren, while AWPer Bilguun “bkzcurs3d” Dorj has joined the squad from The QUBE. Despite having only 31 official maps and an average rating of 0.80, his addition brings the active roster to six players. The organization has not yet provided an update on Sodbileg “cool4st” Batbaatar, who was signed on loan from IHC in April.

aNdu becomes a free agent after leaving GamerLegion

20-year-old Estonian Andreas “aNdu” Maasing has officially parted ways with GamerLegion after spending eight months on the bench and nearly three years within the organization. According to the player, he has been actively practicing and is now looking for a new team.

aNdu joined GamerLegion in 2023 as an academy player but quickly made his debut for the main roster, standing in for volt at ESL Challenger Atlanta. In April 2024, he was promoted to the starting lineup following Keoz’s benching, but was soon replaced by Tauson ahead of the European RMR. He then went on loan to CPH Wolves, where he averaged a 1.15 rating, and in June helped the mix team fish123 win United21 League Season 33.

Alliance bench PlesseN, end of founding CS2 core

Alliance have announced the benching of Niclas “PlesseN” Plessen after nearly two years on the active roster. The 27-year-old was part of the original trio signed in 2023 when the organization returned to CS2. Throughout his time, PlesseN played 447 maps with a 1.05 average rating, mostly in online tournaments and local Swedish events. Despite some success — including a runner-up finish at Elisa Nordic Championship — the team struggled to rise above the tier-three scene. His removal marks the end of Alliance’s founding lineup. Further roster updates are expected soon.

Current Alliance lineup:

  • twist
  • avid
  • upE
  • eraa
  • Hawk (coach)
  • PlesseN (benched)

Rare Atom sign Trash, move somebody to the bench

Rare Atom have officially signed Aojie “Trash” Tian from E9, bringing in the young talent to replace veteran HaoWen “somebody” Xu, who has been moved to the bench. The roster change follows a string of underwhelming results, including a third-place finish in the China Regional Qualifier for the Austin Major and modest showings at ESL Challenger Asia-Pacific and XSE Pro League Chengdu.

Rare Atom hope the addition of fresh talent will help them return to the level that saw them qualify for the Shanghai Major in 2024. somebody, who joined from TYLOO in late 2023, averaged a 1.09 rating during his time with the team.

Imperial bench decenty

Brazilian team Imperial continue their roster overhaul — Lucas “decenty” Bacelar has been moved to the bench, becoming the second player sidelined this offseason after chayJESUS. The former FURIA Academy player joined the team in October 2023 as a replacement for boltz and helped Imperial qualify for three consecutive Majors, averaging a 1.12 rating during his time.Following their early elimination from the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the organization is reportedly considering bringing back Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes, who remains benched at FURIA.

  • Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo
  • Santino “try” Rigal
  • Kaiky “noway” Santos

Shr is making his first move outside Portugal after stints with SAW, OFFSET, GTZ, and FTW, while chelo returns to Imperial two years after leaving for FURIA. The duo will replace chayJESUS, who was recently benched, and decenty.

For 24-year-old Shr, this transfer marks an important step in his career despite a challenging start at the tier-one level. His short time with SAW ended on a high note, posting a 1.08 rating during the team’s surprise quarter-final run at PGL Astana. Coach B1ad3 noted the roster change wasn’t due to any individual underperforming but was needed to refresh the lineup. makazze’s aggressive entry style overlaps with iM, suggesting tactical adjustments ahead.

The rest of the NAVI Junior roster — dem0n, Krabeni, cmtry, dziugss, and coach coolio — has been placed on the transfer list. The squad holds Major-eligible ranking points and is expected to draw interest.

NAVI plan to rebuild their academy with a new lineup soon, continuing their commitment to developing top-tier talent.

Bad News Eagles announce disband after IESF

Bad News Eagles will officially disband following their final appearance at the IESF World Championship, bringing an end to a remarkable three-year journey. The Kosovar team rose to fame with their Cinderella run at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, going from LAN cafés to the Legends Stage and earning respect across the scene.

They later qualified for two more Majors — IEM Rio and BLAST.tv Paris — famously eliminating FaZe in the Legends Stage of the former. In 2024, they briefly played under the GUILD banner, but the partnership ended in May, and the players reunited under BNE in early 2025. However, struggles continued, and the team has now decided to part ways.

These past few months were tough, and we couldn’t find us improving,” the team said in their statement. “This is not goodbye — it’s simply the end of one chapter, and the beginning of many new ones.

nilo returns to HEROIC roster

HEROIC have reinstated 20-year-old Swede Linus “nilo” Bergman to their active lineup after six months on the bench. The player had not featured in a single match since joining from Metizport due to personal circumstances.

nilo replaces xfl0ud, who was recently benched in a surprise move, and will step in following the departures of SunPayus and sAw to G2. His return will require role adjustments, as nilo plays more of a lurker role rather than an aggressive entry.

Current HEROIC roster:

  • Linus “LNZ” Holtäng
  • Simon “yxngstxr” Boije
  • Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich
  • Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin

poiii joined EYEBALLERS a year ago from Lilmix, where he had built a reputation as one of Sweden’s most promising young talents. However, he struggled to live up to expectations, averaging a 1.02 rating over 255 maps, mostly against teams outside the top 50.

The decision comes as part of an internal rebuild following a series of disappointing results, including a loss to Inner Circle in ESEA Advanced and the failure to qualify for the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

MoriiSko leaves the active lineup after one year with a 0.99 average rating over 406 maps. Alongside ZEDKO, he helped the team win CCT Europe Series 11, European Pro League Season 24, and the Tipsport Cup Spring 2025.

The player is now open to new opportunities.

Qikert moved to PARIVISION’s bench

Qikert is now open to new opportunities and looking to return to Tier-1:

I’ve grown as a leader. I’m ready to take on a new challenge and lead a team forward.

chelo had been on FURIA’s bench since April, when the team shifted to an international lineup with YEKINDAR and molodoy. He returns to Imperial, where he previously averaged a 1.12 rating — significantly better than the 1.00 he posted over 309 maps with FURIA.

The new Imperial roster, featuring chelo and Shr, is currently debuting against Bounty Hunters in the Thunderpick World Championship SA Series 1.

NIP Impact sign Zana, replace ramziiN

Ana “Zana” Queiroz has officially joined NIP Impact, replacing Anna “ramziiN” Ramsing on the roster. The 23-year-old AWPer arrives from BIG EQUIPA after three years with the Portuguese team.

This is the first roster change for NIP Impact since signing vilga in June 2024 and comes after the team’s semi-final run at the ESL Impact League Season 7 Finals in Dallas.

Wildcard bench phzy and stanislaw after turbulent first half of 2025

Wildcard have officially moved Swedish AWPer Love “phzy” Smidebrant and Canadian IGL Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz to the bench. The announcement follows a difficult stretch for the team, including early exits at international LANs and a disappointing elimination at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

phzy, who averaged a team-high 1.14 rating across 167 maps, expressed surprise at the decision, while stanislaw, a pivotal figure in the team’s rise through North America and qualification for the Shanghai Major, is now open to coaching or a potential move to Europe.

The changes leave Wildcard without a veteran IGL and raise questions about the team’s future direction.

history becomes free agent after Fluxo contract expires

Brazilian AWPer Allan “history” Lawrenz has officially parted ways with Fluxo following the expiration of his 2.5-year contract. The 23-year-old, who had multiple bench stints during his time with the team, reflected that he “never quite managed to fit in properly” within the organization, but expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

history most recently rejoined the active roster in early 2025 but benched himself just two months later, citing underperformance. Now, he enters free agency and is open to new opportunities.

Update July 2, 2025

STYKO benched as Inner Circle prepares full rebuild

Inner Circle have made another roster change, benching Martin “STYKO” Styk, who had been serving as the team’s in-game leader. Following recent departures of oskar, Q-Q, and Fessor, the only active members remaining are Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek and coach Piotr “nawrot” Nawrocki.

STYKO clarified that the decision wasn’t based on his individual performance or leadership qualities, but rather aligned with the organization’s broader strategy. Although frustrated by the outcome, he remains highly motivated and committed to continuing his career as an IGL. He feels he has grown significantly in the role over the past six months and is confident in his ability to bring value to other teams.

Since taking on leadership duties in January, STYKO faced challenges alongside the team, including limited opportunities in Valve-sanctioned events. Even after replacing coach lmbt with nawrot in April, Inner Circle struggled to gain traction. With a difficult summer behind them, the organization is now planning a complete rebuild and has stated that their new lineup will be revealed soon.

ECO Warriors disband after short-lived run

Julia “juliano” Kiran has confirmed the disbandment of ECO Warriors, marking the end of the team’s run after just one season. The roster was formed in January as an orgless mix around juliano, former NAVI Javelins duo vicu and D7, and others — but never secured the organizational support they had hoped for.

Despite some promising moments, including two runner-up finishes at Tradeit Masters events and a respectable 6th place in ESL Impact Season 7 Europe, the team missed out on LAN qualification and gradually began to split. D7 was the first to leave in June, with the rest of the roster following shortly after.

All five players are now free agents:

  • Julia “juliano” Kiran
  • Marta “D7” Asensio
  • Wiktoria “vicu” Janicka
  • Alexandra “kyossa” Tykhonska
  • Narmina “wieenN” Gasanova

Update July 3, 2025

PARIVISION have officially announced the signing of 19-year-old Andrey “AW” Anisimov from AMKAL, who steps in to replace Alexey “Qikert” Golubev. Jame will once again combine AWPing duties with shot-calling.

AW, previously known for his performances with DMS and AMKAL, was the only player on his former team to maintain a rating above 1.03 this year (1.11). With his arrival, PARIVISION have formed a young rifling core featuring AW, xiELO, nota, and BELCHONOKK. However, defining clear roles remains a challenge for coach Dastan “dastan” Akbayev and Jame, as all three newcomers share a similar rifling style.

Update July 7, 2025

Team Spirit bench magixx after six years, eye up zweih

Team Spirit have officially moved Boris “magixx” Vorobiev to the bench, ending a nearly six-year run as a starter. Although still under contract, the 22-year-old is now inactive, marking Spirit’s first roster change in 18 months.

magixx joined the team in 2019 as a young talent and helped shape its identity across multiple eras. He was part of major milestones — a top-4 run at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, victory at IEM Katowice 2024, and Spirit’s historic Perfect World Shanghai Major win later that year, where his performance in playoffs proved crucial.

Despite those highs, magixx had faced criticism in recent months for inconsistent form. He acknowledged these struggles himself, stating that Spirit’s results often hinged on his impact: “We might be better if I just kill more.”

With this change, Spirit are reportedly targeting Ivan “zweih” Gogin, a 17-year-old rising star who posted a 1.21 rating in Stage 1 and 1.28 in Stage 2 at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. Spirit view zweih as a promising anchor and potential long-term piece alongside donk and sh1ro.

reck departs M80 after two years with the team

North American player Ethan Riley “reck” Serrano has officially parted ways with M80, where he had been competing since 2023. During his time with the team, he helped secure several titles, including victories at ESL Challenger League Seasons 46, 47, and 48, as well as the Thunderpick World Championship 2024: North American Series #1.

The team bid a warm farewell to reck and thanked him for his dedication and contributions over the past two years.

According to rumors, HexT, currently playing for NGR, is a potential replacement. However, the organization has yet to make an official announcement.

Official: NRG Bench oSee, HexT Moves to M80

NRG have officially benched Josh “oSee” Ohm, confirming earlier reports, and announced the transfer of Jadan “HexT” Postma to M80.

While oSee was offered a chance to remain with the team in a rifling role, he chose to bench himself and explore new opportunities. His time at NRG began in November 2023 as part of the organization’s return to Counter-Strike and saw him win several NA titles, including Fragadelphia 18 and ESL Challenger League Season 49.

Despite a strong average of 1.15 rating across 361 maps, oSee struggled to deliver at LAN events — recording only a 1.05 LAN rating, affected by underwhelming performances at IEM Dallas and the Austin Major.

HexT, meanwhile, has been transferred to M80 after being part of NRG’s core since their comeback to CS. Both players played a key role in building the team’s foundation.

M80 Sign HexT, Replace reck in First 2025 Roster Move

M80 have officially signed Jadan “HexT” Postma as the replacement for Ethan “reck” Serrano, ending the latter’s two-year tenure with the team.

The move comes after a rough season for M80, who failed to reach expectations at key events like ESL Pro League S21, BLAST Open Lisbon, PGL Astana, and the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

HexT, formerly of NRG, averaged a 1.11 rating in 2025, playing in similar roles to reck — anchoring CT sites and lurking on T sides. Despite some positional overlap with teammates s1n and Swisher, HexT’s experience should ease the transition as the team aims for a reset in the second half of the year.

ArtFr0st Joins BetBoom on Loan for FISSURE Playground 1

BetBoom have benched longtime AWPer Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko and will play with Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov on loan from PARIVISION during FISSURE Playground 1.

This marks another shift in BetBoom’s rebuilding process, leaving Pavel “S1ren” Ogloblin as the last remaining member of the original 2023 roster. ArtFr0st, previously benched by PARIVISION and briefly loaned to AMKAL, will aim to make an impact — especially after posting a 1.17 rating in 2025.

BetBoom had flashes of promise early in the year but struggled for consistency. A 0-3 run in Stage 2 at the Austin Major and a dip in form from zorte (whose rating dropped to 1.08 in 2025) prompted the change.
