The third day of action at the BLAST.tv Austin Major delivered thrilling games and the first confirmed results. OG, BetBoom, and Nemiga have secured their spots in the second stage of the tournament, while other teams are preparing for high-stakes elimination matches. Tension is rising — the battle for survival and a chance to move closer to the playoffs is in full swing.

OG vs NRG

OG secured a place in the next stage with a 3-1 record, having lost only one match — to the Ukrainian squad B8.

Against NRG, they encountered little resistance. Mirage ended 13:7, and Nuke was even more one-sided — NRG managed to take just three rounds, all on the CT side. OG displayed consistency and composure, confidently advancing. NRG, meanwhile, will face a final elimination match.

NRG jokingly commented on a tough day for the North American scene: all “home” teams lost on the BLAST.tv Major stage. Fans certainly share the pain.

BetBoom vs Wildcard

The Russian team BetBoom, led by the experienced Boombl4, confidently closed the first half of Nuke with a dominant 10:2 scoreline. It seemed they were just a few steps from victory, but Wildcard mounted an incredible comeback — dropping only two rounds in the second half, winning eight in a row, and forcing overtime. Still, BetBoom managed to edge out the win at 19:17.

Anubis was another nail-biter. After a tense battle, BetBoom closed the map 16:14. With a 3-1 record, they move on to the second stage. Wildcard remain in Austin and will have one last chance to stay in the tournament.

After the match, BetBoom humorously reflected on their dramatic but victorious day.

FlyQuest vs Nemiga

Nemiga confidently took Ancient — their map pick — despite trailing 5:7 at halftime. Their CT side proved significantly stronger, helping secure the win.

On Inferno, FlyQuest looked in control, leading 10:5 after three more rounds in the second half. However, Nemiga regained momentum, winning key rounds and narrowly closing the map 13:11.

With this result, Nemiga advance to the next stage, while FlyQuest will face their last-chance match against Legacy.

Nemiga also shared a humorous post on their X account.

Decider Matches — Day 4:

  • Lynn Vision vs TYLOO
  • Legacy vs FlyQuest
  • Wildcard vs NRG

Three final spots in the second stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major are on the line. All six teams are one step away from elimination — every map, every round, and every mistake could be decisive.

Particular attention will be on the showdown between Wildcard and NRG, two North American teams for whom a loss would mean a devastating exit on home soil. Legacy will fight to keep the Australian flag flying in their match against a determined FlyQuest. Meanwhile, in the Asian derby, Lynn Vision and TYLOO will clash in a duel of youth versus experience. An intense and unforgiving day awaits — the group stage finale promises fireworks.
