In a pivotal Group A matchup at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1, Vitality once again proved why they are considered the top contenders this season. After dropping the opening map to MOUZ, the black-and-yellow squad bounced back by taking Inferno and Train, closing the series 2:1. This victory marks Vitality’s 23rd consecutive win across all tournaments — an impressive streak that began back in February 2025.
Mirage — 13:9 to MOUZ

MOUZ’s map pick paid off as they executed with discipline and confidence. Their T-side was well-structured — controlling mid, shifting tempo smartly, and exploiting gaps in Vitality’s setup. torzsi stood out with 20 kills and several key AWP picks that helped MOUZ maintain control. Jimpphat also provided consistency on the B site, repeatedly shutting down Vitality’s entries.
Vitality looked shaky on defense but tried to rally after the side switch. However, MOUZ stayed composed, adapted to late-round flanks, and closed the map with strong teamplay.
Inferno — 13:9 to Vitality

On their home turf, Vitality turned up the heat. Despite losing the pistol, they won the force buy and quickly gained economic control and map momentum. flameZ led the charge with aggressive entries and crisp duels, helping unlock both bombsites. He continued to deliver impact in defense, especially in high-pressure clutch moments that disrupted MOUZ’s rhythm.
Magisk and ZywOo chipped in at crucial moments — the former shutting down A retakes, the latter reliably holding Banana and short. While frozen attempted to pull MOUZ back into the game, they ultimately lacked the precision and creativity needed to break through.
Train — 13:9 to Vitality

The decider map, Train, was tightly contested. The first half ended 7:5 in favor of Vitality, but it was their CT side that truly showcased their class. flameZ once again emerged as the hero, winning multiple pivotal duels and finishing with 16 kills. ZywOo provided key anchor support on the A site, while apEX directed retakes with sharp reads and fast rotations.
MOUZ attempted quick executes but were constantly met by Vitality’s disciplined positioning. Even after a short surge that brought the score to 11:9, Vitality quickly slammed the door with two composed round wins to seal the series.

Vitality: 23 Straight Wins — One of the Greatest Runs in CS History
This triumph marks Vitality’s 23rd straight win on the professional stage. They’ve already beaten top-tier opponents like FaZe, G2, Spirit, and NAVI, and remain the front-runners for the BLAST Rivals title. With this win, they have now matched Liquid’s legendary 2019 win streak — one more victory would give them sole ownership of second place in CS history.
“We want to try and break Liquid’s record,” said head coach XTQZZZ. “And if we do, there’s the final after that. You can’t play the final at only 100%. That’s just extra motivation for this tournament.”
What’s Next: Vitality’s Upcoming Opponent
With this win, Vitality has secured a spot in the semifinals, set to face the winner of the quarterfinal between Team Spirit and Wildcard. Both teams are capable challengers, but Vitality will enter as clear favorites given their red-hot form and unmatched momentum.
