Just over a week remains before the start of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, and Valve is already building hype. The long-awaited team and player stickers have been released in-game—but not all the news was pleasant for fans.
Alongside the sticker release, Valve also introduced Warhammer 40,000 capsules and sparked controversy around altered autographs.
The update also added the Pick’Em Challenge and graffiti. Each capsule is priced at $0.99.
Player stickers
A funny moment came when Twistzz pointed out that the sticker released in-game wasn’t the one he submitted. The reason behind the mix-up remains unclear, and fans are left wondering whether it was a decision by Valve or a final-stage error.
MAJ3R’s sticker, featuring his two children, was a heartwarming surprise that won the community’s affection.
Meanwhile, Mzinho paid tribute to the team’s coach, maaRaa, by including his nickname on the sticker—another unexpected and touching gesture.
Team stickers
This stage features 16 teams from regional qualifiers. These stickers celebrate the journey of underdogs and rising stars aiming to prove themselves on the big stage.
Here, 8 teams from Stage 1 join 8 invited teams via Valve Regional Standings (VRS). The mix of battle-tested squads and top-tier contenders makes these capsules a must-have.
The 8 best teams in the world now enter the competition, facing the 8 strongest survivors of Stage 2. These stickers represent the absolute elite of CS2.
All players and teams received stickers, including one for Legacy, confirming that BESTIA will not be attending the Major.
The Warhammer 40,000 capsules were a surprise addition to the Major content. Inspired by the grimdark universe, these themed stickers feature a bold design with armor, skulls, and gothic elements. The full update size is 1.6 GB.
