Rumors have surfaced from well-known Brazilian blogger cachorro1337, who in his latest YouTube video revealed the potential transfer of s1mple to FURIA, replacing FalleN, who, according to the blogger, plans to retire from professional play. According to cachorro1337, the information came from a person who attended a party involving FURIA’s management. Reportedly, one of the organization’s representatives, under the influence of alcohol, shared this information.
FURIA’s Performance
Throughout 2024, FURIA’s results have been far from impressive. The team failed to achieve any significant success at most tournaments, with their only notable placements being:
- YaLLa Compass 2024 — 3rd–4th place
- Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024 — 3rd–4th place
In 2025, things haven’t improved — the team not only failed to win any events but didn’t even reach a single semifinal. This is no longer the same FURIA that showcased solid and consistent form back in 2020. If the rumors are true, bringing in an experienced player like s1mple could be the opportunity FURIA needs to regain its former level.
What s1mple Could Bring
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is a legendary Ukrainian CS player. Throughout his career, he has been featured eight times in HLTV’s Top 20 players of the year, including three times as the #1 player in the world (2018, 2021, 2022). His name is well known across the esports world, and his AWP performances on the biggest stages have become iconic. While with NAVI, s1mple helped secure victories at several prestigious events with massive prize pools:
- BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 — $600,000
- IEM Cologne 2021 — $400,000
- Intel Grand Slam Season 3 — $1,000,000
- PGL Major Stockholm 2021 — $1,000,000
- BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 — $500,000
- BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 — $200,000
Since late 2023, s1mple has been benched by NAVI. In 2024, he was temporarily loaned to Team Falcons, but played just one official match in CS2, without delivering notable results.

s1mple vs molodoy
If the rumored transfer of s1mple to FURIA comes true, he is expected to take on a rifler role, while Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, a promising young AWPer from Kazakhstan who joined the roster on April 4, would remain the team’s main sniper.
It’s important to note that s1mple showed excellent form in CS:GO — his 2023 statistics clearly reflect that. However, since the release of CS2, he has had very little competitive experience in the new version of the game, which differs significantly in its mechanics and feel. In 2024, s1mple played only one official CS2 match, and his performance was visibly weaker.
s1mple’s CS:GO stats (2023):
- Rating 2.0 — 1.18
- KAST — 72.6%
- ADR — 77.4
- KPR — 0.75
- Impact — 1.18
s1mple’s CS2 stats (2024):
- Rating 2.0 — 1.04
- KAST — 70.6%
- ADR — 79.2
- KPR — 0.70
- Impact — 1.08
molodoy’s stats (last 3 months):
- Rating 2.0 — 1.25
- KAST — 73.5%
- ADR — 84.4
- KPR — 0.82
- Impact — 1.27
Based on these numbers, it’s fair to say that molodoy is currently in better shape within CS2 and has been delivering consistently strong performances.
What Could Change?
It’s difficult to predict the true impact of s1mple potentially joining FURIA. Without a doubt, such a transfer would create a massive buzz in the CS community and significantly boost the team’s media presence. However, when it comes to actual results, many questions remain: both s1mple and molodoy are AWPers, and s1mple hasn’t been active on the pro scene for quite a while — which may have affected his form.
It’s also unclear how effectively s1mple could adapt to a rifler role, especially with the AWP no longer in his hands. Additionally, despite being a CS legend, s1mple currently lacks real match practice in CS2. This absence of consistent competitive play in the new game could become a serious obstacle, and there’s no guarantee that the move would deliver the expected results.
For now, all of this remains in the realm of rumors, and only time will tell whether this high-profile transfer
