New Rumors: Release Date for Counter-Strike 2

A data miner for CS2, nicknamed Thour, discovered information regarding the release date of the new version of CS2 and also about a “Premier” mode.

Regarding “Premier”, it’s been revealed that the leaderboard will be divided into four categories: global leaderboard, regional leaderboard, country-specific leaderboard, and a friends’ leaderboard.

Moreover, in the leaderboard menu, four seasons are mentioned, and the first falls in the autumn of 2023 (from September 23 to December 22).

From this, it can be inferred that CS2 will be released on September 23 or even earlier.

The first major tournament for CS2 will take place in March 2024, with RMR tournaments being held in February.
