Ukrainian coach and analyst Serhii “lmbt” Bezhanov is returning to the MOUZ organization — this time as the head coach of their academy roster, MOUZ NXT. This isn’t his first stint with the German organization: between 2016 and 2019, he led the main mousesports roster to multiple championships. Now, his mission is to develop the next generation of CS2 talent.
Coaching history with mousesports
Serhii Bezhanov already has a strong connection with MOUZ, which was still called mousesports during his first tenure. He served as head coach from September 2016 to February 2019 — one of the most successful periods in the team’s history.
Under his guidance, mousesports won several prestigious tournaments:
- ESG Tour Mykonos 2017
- StarLadder & i-League StarSeries Season 4
- V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2018
- ESL One: New York 2018
The team also achieved strong finishes at numerous other events:
- Esports Championship Series Season 4 – Finals – 2nd place
- ESL One: Belo Horizonte 2018 – 2nd place
- ELEAGUE Premier 2018 – 3rd–4th place
- ESL Pro League Season 8 – Finals – 3rd–4th place
These results highlight his ability to build stable and competitive teams at the top level.
Post-mousesports experience: coaching challenges and broadcast analysis
After his time with mousesports, lmbt coached a number of teams including HellRaisers, AVANGAR, forZe, GORILLAZ, TITANS, IC Esports, and Monte. However, his stints with most of these squads were brief and did not result in notable achievements.
A clear exception was his time with the Ukrainian team Monte, where he served as head coach for over a year and a half (January 2023 – September 2024). With him at the helm, the team won ESL Challenger at DreamHack Winter 2023, marking a significant international success for the Ukrainian roster.
Beyond coaching, since 2020 Bezhanov has been working as an analyst for Maincast, a Ukrainian esports broadcast studio. He has been a regular presence at top-tier events, including providing commentary and analysis at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. This role has allowed him to stay deeply connected to the meta and evolving trends of CS2.

Serhii’s return to MOUZ has been warmly received by the organization and the community alike. A few notable figures shared their reactions:
Kseniia Bezhanova (Director of Operations at HEROIC): “I teared up a lil when heared the news, ngl”
Joey (MOUZ NXT player): “Welcome”
Sabrina (Head of Team Operations at MOUZ): “Welcome back!”
These comments reflect the deep respect and trust lmbt has earned throughout the years — both as a professional and as a mentor capable of reinvigorating a young lineup.
A new chapter for lmbt and an opportunity for rising stars
Appointing Serhii “lmbt” Bezhanov as the head coach of MOUZ NXT is a significant boost for the academy squad. His experience at the highest level, championship success with mousesports, work with Ukrainian talent in Monte, and analytical insight from broadcast work make him an ideal mentor for developing players. If MOUZ sets a clear strategic goal of preparing future stars for the main roster, there’s every reason to believe lmbt will help deliver on that vision.
