According to HLTV.org, FlyQuest are in talks to acquire the contract of Justin “jks” Savage, who is currently on the bench of Team Liquid. The 29-year-old Australian is expected to replace Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas, whose recent form has been inconsistent. His average rating over the past 12 months stands at 0.86, the lowest among FlyQuest players. The organization is looking to strengthen its lineup ahead of important upcoming tournaments.
jks benched since April
jks has been inactive in Liquid’s starting roster since April 2025, when the team signed a new in-game leader — Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek. At the time, Keith “NAF” Markovic was retained to help Liquid maintain its Americas regional status in Valve’s ranking system. However, the updated system now classifies Liquid as a European team, which removes regional roster restrictions and opens the door to further changes.
jks aims to return to Australia
Instead of seeking a return to Liquid’s active roster, jks is targeting a comeback to the Australian scene — for the first time since 2020. That was when he last played for a home organization, 100 Thieves, which later exited CS:GO entirely.
Since then, Savage has competed with international rosters and hasn’t had the chance to represent an Australian team.
Short but successful stint with Liquid
Although his time on Team Liquid was brief, jks managed to win a title at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024. It remains his only trophy under the Liquid banner. Shortly afterward, he was moved to the bench but remained part of the organization until now.
If the transfer goes through, FlyQuest’s lineup would be:
- Joshua “INS” Potter
- Declan “Vexite” Portelli
- Corey “nettik” Browne
- Iulian “regali” Harjău
- Justin “jks” Savage
- Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga (coach)
This move would reunite jks with several rising talents from the Oceanic region, forming a promising core for future competitions.
