All these teams have made it through the brutal group stage — and some, like MOUZ and NAVI, came back from the brink with epic comebacks.

Tier List Of Teams
S-tier (Vitality, Spirit) – Undisputed favorites. Vitality have shown consistency and experience, while Spirit are the scariest young team at the event, powered by Donk’s incredible individual form.
A-tier (FaZe, FURIA, MOUZ) – These teams have the potential to beat anyone in a BO3. FaZe are still looking for stability, MOUZ rely on strong teamplay, and FURIA are Brazil’s biggest hope after an explosive group stage.
B-tier (paiN, NAVI, The MongolZ) – Unexpected playoff contenders. NAVI are still searching for a stable in-game leader after roster changes, while paiN and The MongolZ were pleasant surprises but may lack the experience to challenge the elite.
Key Players & Potential MVPs
ZywOo (Vitality) — holds the highest rating at the tournament (1.58). Always a threat in high-pressure matches. If Vitality reach the final, he’ll likely be their biggest driving force.
donk (Spirit) — the most promising young MVP candidate. His 1.54 rating is second-best, and he’s not just consistent — he dominates with aggression, speed, and fearlessness.
sh1ro (Spirit) — a rock-solid AWPer who perfectly complements donk with calm precision and experience. His 1.42 rating reflects just how important he is to Spirit’s structure.
s1mple (FaZe) — after returning to competition, he immediately became FaZe’s top performer. His experience, instincts, and ability to decide games could make him a playoff MVP if FaZe go deep.
molodoy (FURIA) — a rising talent with a 1.36 rating. If FURIA reach the semifinals or beyond, his consistency and composure will be key.

What’s at Stake?
The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Playoffs aren’t just about lifting a trophy. They’re about legacy, reputation, and in some cases, survival. Each of the eight teams has something massive to play for:
A win in Austin would be for Spirit second Major title, following their victory at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. It would cement Spirit’s status as the new elite, and solidify donk’s rise as the game’s next true superstar. This event is their chance to prove their previous Major wasn’t a one-off — but the beginning of an era.
After a poor start to the season, FaZe took a bold step by loaning s1mple, who hadn’t played competitively in months. His immediate impact carried them into the playoffs. A title here would mark not just a return to form for FaZe, but a legendary comeback story for s1mple.
For the Vitality , this Major is about reclaiming total control of the CS scene. Despite their stumble against Legacy, they remain one of the strongest teams — and winning in Austin would underline the strength of their ZywOo–ropz–apEX core.

FURIA and paiN – the Brazilian derby has more than just a semifinal spot on the line — it’s a battle to show that Brazilian CS still has global relevance. For FURIA, it’s about validating a new-look roster. For paiN, it’s a chance to break into the top tier. Whoever wins could become the surprise story of the event.
NAVI is a defining moment. The revamped roster hasn’t met expectations so far, and this Major could shape the team’s future. A strong playoff run could prove they still belong among the elite. A collapse might lead to changes.
MOUZ despite a solid season overall, winning a Major would elevate MOUZ to a whole new level. Their comeback from a 0-2 start in Stage 3 showed grit and resilience — now they face a much greater challenge.
The MongolZ already history-makers as the first Mongolian team to reach the playoffs of a Major, they’ve defied expectations. Most expect them to fall now — but that makes them even more dangerous. A win over FaZe would be the biggest upset of the tournament.
