M80 and TYLOO eliminated from BLAST.tv Major, HEROIC and Nemiga stay alive

After the 1–2 matches in the group stage, two more teams have been eliminated from the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 — North America’s M80 and China’s TYLOO. Meanwhile, Belarusian team Nemiga and the revamped HEROIC roster kept their hopes alive by moving into the 2–2 pool.

Nemiga vs M80 (2–0)

The Belarusian squad started the series with a win on Ancient. The first half was tightly contested, ending 6–6, but in the second half Nemiga gained momentum with four straight rounds. Although M80 came close to forcing overtime, Nemiga held on to close the map 13–11.

On Dust2, M80 looked completely out of the game. Nemiga controlled the map from start to finish and took a dominant 13–2 victory. khaN had his best performance of the tournament with 21 kills, just 4 deaths, and a 2.31 rating. This was M80’s Major debut — and while they couldn’t go further, the team gained valuable experience.

In a social media post, M80 thanked their players — s1n, swisher, Lake, reck, and SLAXZ — and added with humor:

“At least we don’t need to fly home.”

Despite the disappointing result, the team left a strong impression at their home Major.

TYLOO vs HEROIC (1–2)

After going 3–0 in the opening stage, HEROIC unexpectedly found themselves in the 1–2 pool. Their opponent, TYLOO, was considered a weaker team on paper, and HEROIC looked in control on Ancient with an 8–4 first half. But the Chinese squad mounted a comeback and pushed the game to overtime, where they won four straight rounds to take the map 16–12.

Mirage was up next, with a tied 6–6 first half. HEROIC’s T-side proved stronger in the second half, securing the win 13–10. The deciding map, another Mirage, saw HEROIC take control again — thanks in large part to tn1R’s 1.49 rating — and close out the series 13–10 to stay in the tournament.

With this loss, TYLOO end their Major journey, while HEROIC move to the 2–2 bracket where they will face Nemiga in a knockout match for a spot in the next stage.

Final chance for HEROIC and Nemiga — decisive match ahead

The elimination of M80 and TYLOO marks the end of their BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 run, but both teams gained valuable experience on the big stage. Meanwhile, Nemiga and HEROIC still have a shot at reaching the playoffs and will face off in a crucial do-or-die match. One final step remains to determine who moves on to Stage 3 of the Major.
