In the second semifinal of BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1, Team Vitality secured a confident 2-0 victory over Team Spirit, extending their historic winning streak to 24 matches in a row. With this result, the French squad broke Team Liquid’s 2019 record of 23 consecutive wins. Vitality are in phenomenal form, having already eliminated Wildcard in the group stage and MOUZ in the playoffs of this tournament.
Expectations vs. Reality
Although Team Spirit hadn’t played in official events for the past month, they were considered a serious threat — the team had time to rest and prepare thoroughly, and their wins against FlyQuest and Wildcard proved their competitiveness. However, Vitality once again showed why they are currently the best team in the world — composed, structured, and consistent in every round.
Match Result: Vitality 2:0 Spirit
- Mirage (Spirit’s pick) — 13:8
- Nuke (Vitality’s pick) — 13:9
On Mirage, Vitality came out swinging, setting a fast pace and ending the first half with a solid 11:5 lead. Spirit attempted a comeback by taking 3 rounds in a row at the start of the second half, but a huge AWP 4K clutch from ZywOo on the A site crushed their momentum — ending the map at 13:8.
Nuke was more balanced: the first half finished 7:5 for Vitality, but Spirit couldn’t keep up with the tempo shifts of the French offense and managed to take only 4 rounds in the second half, losing 13:9.

ZywOo dominates once again
ZywOo once again proved why he’s considered the best player in the world: 41 kills, 94.3 average damage, and a 1.44 rating. His crucial clutches, pinpoint AWP control, and consistency in all phases were decisive on both maps. One of the highlights came on Mirage, where he clutched a 1v4 with the AWP, taking down the entire Spirit push — a clip that quickly went viral across the community.
Player reactions after the match
