The reputable portal HLTV has officially launched the Counter-Strike Hall of Fame — a virtual space honoring the most influential players in the history of the game. The announcement was made on their official X (Twitter) page, offering the first glimpse at the digital gallery.
The First Wave: f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, HeatoN, and Potti
During the HLTV Awards 2024 in Belgrade, four legendary Swedish players were inducted into the Hall of Fame:
- Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg — one of the most consistent players of all time, a Major champion, and a symbol of NiP;
- Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund — two-time HLTV Player of the Year and a pioneer of the lurk role;
- Emil “HeatoN” Christensen — a star of the CS 1.6 era, WCG and CPL champion;
- Tommy “Potti” Ingemarsson — co-founder of NiP and nine-time CPL champion.

Each inductee received a special trophy, including a Rolex watch, a dedicated Hall of Fame profile on HLTV, and a tribute video.
What’s next: new inductees and a custom Hall of Fame map
HLTV plans to add 3–5 new names to the Hall of Fame each year. The key requirement is that the players must have retired from professional play. In 2026, a custom-designed Hall of Fame map will be revealed at the HLTV Awards ceremony, inspired by iconic moments from Counter-Strike history.
