Wildcard Save Their VRS Slot: susp Benched, stanislaw Returns

The North American organization Wildcard continues to experience instability: recent roster changes in their CS2 team almost cost them all of their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points. Player susp was benched, and experienced in-game leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz returned to the lineup. This move quite literally saved the team from falling into tier-3 obscurity.

Wildcard Bench susp but Secure Their Ranking

After a disappointing performance at FISSURE Playground #1, where they finished 13–16th, Wildcard officially moved susp to the bench. According to sources, it was susp himself who made the decision, as he is now actively seeking opportunities with European teams. This sudden change put Wildcard in danger of losing all of their VRS points — according to Valve’s rules, failing to return one of the players from their RMR/VRS lineup (such as stanislaw or phzy) would have resulted in a full reset of their ranking.

Wildcard reacted just in time by bringing back stanislaw into the active roster, which allowed them to retain their VRS slot and avoid starting over ahead of future qualifiers. The current situation leaves the team fielding three in-game leaders: stanislaw, Sonic (still on the roster for now), and fr3nd, who is slowly transitioning into the role.

Wildcard Roster Chaos: What’s Going On?

Even during the Austin Major, the team already knew they would part ways with stanislaw after the tournament — a decision that reportedly created a “bad vibe” within the roster, which some say contributed to their poor performance. Later, phzy was removed from the team without much explanation, and the organization brought in fr3nd, a player from the academy, along with another newcomer, Peeping.

It was then announced that Sonic would likely leave the team due to VRS restrictions, but the rules were later updated, and his future with the team is now uncertain.

Wildcard traveled to Serbia with their new roster to compete at FISSURE Playground 1, where they failed to make an impact. Following the event, susp decided to step down from the active lineup — a move that nearly cost Wildcard all of their VRS points. Only the emergency return of stanislaw kept the team in the rankings.

Community Reaction: Confusion and Frustration

The Wildcard fanbase has largely reacted negatively to the roster changes, with many pointing to a lack of clear direction and consistency. Social media was filled with critical reactions, including:

vk: “Lmao unserious org trash ass lineup”

lei: “What the f* are you even doing like?? Worst management ever”*

Much of the frustration is directed at the organization’s management, which fans accuse of making chaotic decisions without a long-term plan. And although bringing back stanislaw helped save Wildcard’s VRS points, trust in the team’s leadership remains shaky.
