Ukrainian team B8 fell just short of reaching the final stage of their debut Major, losing 1–2 to Lynn Vision in the 2–2 decider match. Despite a strong comeback on the second map, they were ultimately outplayed. For the Chinese squad, this victory marks a historic breakthrough to Stage 3 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
Road on the BLAST.tv Austin Major
B8 started their first-ever Major impressively, beating Imperial and OG in Bo1s, and defeating Wildcard 2–1 in a Bo3. Their second stage began with a strong win over Falcons, which seemed to set the tone for a deep run. However, back-to-back losses to Virtus.pro and FURIA sent them to the 2–2 elimination pool.
Lynn Vision, meanwhile, were just one loss away from elimination in Stage 1. After a win against Legacy, they suffered defeats to Wildcard and Nemiga, falling into the 1–2 bracket. But the Chinese team bounced back, taking down Chinggis Warriors (2–1) and NRG (2–0) to move on. In Stage 2, they beat Falcons and TYLOO, while losing to paiN and FURIA.

The Decider Match
The first map, Dust2, saw Lynn Vision dominate from the start, winning 10 straight rounds on T side. B8 couldn’t recover and lost the opener 2–13.
On Ancient, B8’s map pick, the Ukrainian side showed resilience and composure. They controlled the pace and kept their lead throughout, closing the map 13–9.
The deciding map, Anubis, was statistically even — with win rates of 82% for B8 and 83% for Lynn Vision — but the Chinese side looked far more confident. They won key rounds, maintained momentum, and sealed the deal with a 13–7 win.

Shortly after the match, B8 shared a post on X, thanking their fans for the support throughout the tournament:
“Our BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 run ends here.
This time, we fall just short of Stage 3.
Thank you to everyone who cheered, supported, and believed — every message and comment meant the world.
Next up: more tournaments, more growth, more chances. We keep going.”
Lynn Vision advance, B8 gain experience in debut Major
Lynn Vision now advance to Stage 3, where a whole new level of challenge awaits: Vitality, Spirit, NAVI, MOUZ, and other world-class contenders. The pressure will be immense, but the poise they showed in elimination matches gives hope that they can continue to impress on the biggest stage.
For B8, the loss ends their debut Major run, but it also marks an important step forward. They made it through two stages, beat notable opponents, and gained invaluable experience — the kind that can shape a team’s future. This Major isn’t the end for the Ukrainian squad, but rather the beginning of a promising journey.
