FUT signs ex-NAVI Junior roster and steps up to a new level in CS2

Turkish organization FUT Esports has made a bold move in the world of Counter-Strike 2, announcing the signing of the former NAVI Junior lineup. This transfer could become a turning point for both FUT and the young players who, until recently, were part of the academy system of the legendary Ukrainian organization.

From NAVI Academy to a new home

After Drin “makazze” Shaqiri was promoted to NAVI’s main roster, the future of the remaining NAVI Junior players came into question. The organization decided to put the team up for transfer, and an offer quickly arrived. FUT Esports, which had only taken its first step into CS2 in May 2025 by signing a French-speaking roster with names like JACKZ and Nivera, reassessed its strategy. After several months of inconsistent results, they decided to bet on youth, ambition, and long-term potential.

Why NAVI Junior?

The former NAVI Junior roster isn’t just “academy kids.” In 2024–2025, this team managed to prove themselves at a number of tournaments, showing not only strong individual aim but also notable tactical potential. They currently hold 35th place in the VRS global rankings — an impressive achievement for an academy roster. For FUT, this is a chance to acquire a lineup that already has synergy and valuable tournament experience.

A lineup ready to impress

The new FUT roster consists of:

  • Dmytro “dem0n” Myroshnychenko — an entry fragger who has already built a reputation as one of the most aggressive young players in the region.
  • Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov — a consistent rifler and one of the team’s “brains,” known for his composure in clutch situations.
  • Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija — a Kosovar player who often takes on the role of playmaker, creating space for his teammates.
  • Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius — a support player who does the “dirty work” but remains a crucial part of the team’s chemistry.
  • Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier — the only member retained from FUT’s previous roster. His experience with Vitality and Liquid will help the young team adapt faster to the Tier-1 scene.

The squad will be led by Hungarian coach András “coolio” Fercsák, who has already worked with young lineups and is known as a “roster builder.”

New challenges and expectations

The first major test for the revamped FUT will be RES Showdown 2, where the team will debut under their new banner. After that, they will compete in BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2, facing B8 — another CIS representative — in their opening match, making the clash even more significant.

FUT’s ambitions go beyond just “competing.” The organization aims to break into the top 30 of the global rankings and become a serious contender on the Tier-2 and even Tier-1 scene. According to the team’s management, the 2025 strategy is to create a balance between youth and experience — and signing the NAVI Junior core alongside misutaaa is the perfect embodiment of that vision.

Community Reaction

The announcement sparked a wave of support across social media. The Turkish and international scenes immediately responded:

  • Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç kept it short but warm: “GL.”
  • Eternal Fire welcomed the newcomers with “GL cnm”, and FUT Esports replied with “tsk cnm”, showing the friendly atmosphere within the Turkish scene.
  • NAVI Junior, with a touch of emotion, addressed FUT: “Take care of them.”
  • Streamer 2xCIV joked: “hadi FUT sticker ya,” hinting that the organization now deserves its own stickers in the game.
  • Former NAVI player Yevhen Zolotarov added: “GL boys!!!”
  • And Turkish fans like Furkan – CS Takas wrote: “Adamsınız adammmm” — a phrase that roughly translates to “you’re real men.”

This wave of comments only confirmed one thing: signing the NAVI Junior roster wasn’t just a transfer — it became an event that united different regions of the CS2 scene around the new FUT.

What’s next?

The players now have the opportunity to prove they can be more than just “academy prospects” — they can become full-fledged stars. For FUT, this is a chance to step out of the shadows of regional tournaments and firmly establish themselves on the big stage.
