Day three of the European RMR is underway, and three more teams are out of the race for a Major spot — BC.Game, fnatic, and GamerLegion. It’s becoming increasingly clear that every match can be decisive in the battle for a ticket to the biggest event of the season.

BC.Game

For BC.Game, this qualifier proved to be a tough challenge. Despite a strong start — a confident 13:2 victory over fnatic on Ancient — which sparked hope for a potential run toward a Major slot, the rest of their journey didn’t meet expectations. In the following matches, the team lost two best-of-one games — first to Metizport, and then to BIG. The loss to BIG was especially disappointing, as it came on Ancient — the very same map that brought them their only win — but they failed to replicate that success.

The final blow came in a best-of-three elimination series against B8. Mirage, picked by the Ukrainian side, ended in a dominant 13:5 win for B8. On BC.Game’s pick, Train, the game was much closer, but they still lost 10:13. And so, BC.Game’s difficult path in the qualifiers came to an end.

Despite their exit, the team showed appreciation for the support they received:

“Unfortunately our run in the MRQ ends here! Heartbreaking results.

Thank you to everyone who has been cheering for us, it means the world to us.”

fnatic

The matchup against ENCE was one of the most intense of the day — a full three-map series. ENCE opened with a dominant 13:6 victory on Mirage. fnatic responded with a tight 13:11 win on Ancient, but completely fell apart on Anubis, losing 4:13.

A standout performer in the series was Ukrainian player Viktor “sdy” Orujev, who delivered an exceptional individual showing:

  • K/D: 63–30
  • Rating: 1.67

ENCE highlighted sdy’s performance on their X (formerly Twitter) page, noting his incredible form and saying their man is “ready for the next matches.”

As for fnatic, a key issue was their map pool. They weren’t able to play any of their strongest maps — Train (77% winrate) and Inferno (60%). Even Mirage, where they hold a 53.8% winrate, didn’t work in their favor. Simply put, fnatic were unable to show their true potential on maps that suit them.

The team thanked their fans for their continued support and acknowledged that a lot of work lies ahead:

“Gave it our all, but our road to Austin ends as we fall to ENCE.

Thanks for tuning in for our qualifier run & for your support over the last few days. We’ve got lots of work to do – see you soon.”

GamerLegion

The series against SAW was GamerLegion’s last chance — and a huge upset. The Portuguese squad took the first map. Then came Nuke, where GamerLegion had only a 30% winrate. Surprisingly, they put up a solid fight and forced overtime, but couldn’t close it out (14:16). SAW confidently secured the final map 13:7.

GamerLegion were considered one of the favorites to qualify, having made four consecutive Major appearances starting from IEM Rio 2022. The team’s strongest map, Inferno (70.6%), was frequently banned by opponents. Their Ancient (63.6%) remained solid — with two wins out of two in this qualifier. But the decisive loss on Nuke, despite a promising showing, revealed that the team likely faltered under pressure in the most critical moments.

“Out of the major. We weren’t good enough at all and didn’t adapt to being back online.

Super disappointing, top 10 at every LAN event this year to fall flat at this moment.” — GamerLegion coach on X

“Ain’t no doubt in my mind, You’ll come back stronger.” — commented user Itsmarkweller in reply
