For the first time in Counter-Strike 2 history, a Major tournament will take place on American soil. From June 3 to 22, in Austin, Texas, 32 of the best teams from around the world will compete for the championship title and a total prize pool of $1,250,000. The playoff stage will be held at the Moody Center — a true hub of top-tier esports. 

Tournament Dates and Format

Stage 1 (June 3–6):

16 teams compete in a Swiss format. All matches are Best-of-1, except elimination and advancement matches, which are Best-of-3. The top 8 teams advance, while the rest are eliminated. All teams in this stage qualified through regional qualifiers:

Stage 2 (June 7–10):

Same format as Stage 1. The top 8 teams from the previous stage are joined by 8 invited teams based on the VRS ranking:

  • FURIA
  • MIBR
  • M80

Stage 3 (June 12–15):

One more Swiss stage with the top 16 teams. This round determines the playoff participants. Eight of the world’s best teams are directly invited based on VRS rankings — 6 from Europe, 1 from the Americas, and 1 from Asia:

  • MOUZ
  • Team Spirit
  • G2 Esports
  • The MongolZ
  • Aurora
  • Natus Vincere
  • Team Liquid

Playoffs (June 19–22):

The final stage. The best 8 teams from Stage 3 will compete in a Single Elimination bracket, with all matches played in Best-of-3 format. The winner of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 will take home $500,000. It’s all gonna happen at the Moody Centre.

Opening Day Schedule

The first day of the tournament (June 3), with times listed in CEST, features eight matches:

  • 17:00 — Complexity vs OG and Heroic vs Chinggis Warriors
  • 18:15 — B8 vs Imperial and BetBoom vs Nemiga
  • 19:30 — TYLOO vs NRG and Lynn Vision vs Metizport
  • 20:45 — Wildcard vs Fluxo and FlyQuest vs BESTIA

All matches in Stage 1’s opening wave are Best-of-1. The next day features elimination and advancement matches in Best-of-3 format. Matches start daily at 17:00 CEST, with the last match typically starting around 22:00 CEST starting from Day 3.

Where to Watch

All matches will be streamed on the tournament’s official channels: BLAST.tv, YouTube, and Twitch. Broadcasts will be available in English, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Fans can expect top-tier production, expert analysis, and engaging live coverage. In addition to official broadcasts, there will also be community streams, which many viewers enjoy even more.
