A Major triumph is the ultimate peak — one that teams strive toward for years. For Vitality, this is their second such trophy, but for some players, this moment was truly unique. After defeating The MongolZ in the grand final, the players shared their emotions both on social media and on stage — and their words spoke louder than any stats ever could.

ZywOo: “2nd Major… Incredible feeling”

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was quick to post on Twitter following the victory:

This is the second Major title in the career of the French AWPer. After his win in Paris 2023, ZywOo once again proved to be the driving force behind his team — finishing the event with a 1.42 HLTV rating, earning the MVP award, and dominating the final. Usually reserved on social media, even he couldn’t hide his emotions this time.

ropz: “Crazy 6 months. I f*cking love this team”

Robin “ropz” Kool responded to the team’s success with an emotional message on Twitter:

ropz is one of the few players to have won Majors in both versions of the game: CS:GO (FaZe, 2022) and CS2 (Vitality, 2025). This trophy cements his status as one of the most consistent stars in modern Counter-Strike.

mezii: “BLAST AUSTIN MAJOR CHAMPIONS”

William “mezii” Merriman, who earned his first career Major title in Austin, kept it short and proud on Twitter:

For Vitality’s international roster, mezii’s addition during the off-season became a key factor in their stability. He adapted quickly, became a reliable presence in his roles, and earned the prestigious title in his first Major appearance with the team.

flameZ: “This is the best day of my life”

One of the most symbolic moments came from Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, whose birthday coincided with the grand final. Not only did he win his first Major, but he was also serenaded by the crowd with a loud rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

This is the best day of my life, he exclaimed from the stage amid roaring applause.

apEX: “We work so hard together”

Team captain Dan “apEX” Madesclaire — a leader with both heart and experience — was visibly emotional after the win. This was the third Major title in his career (Cluj-Napoca 2015, Paris 2023, Austin 2025), making him a true legend of the CS era.

And as he wrapped up his speech, overwhelmed with emotion, he shouted:

Fuck*ng thank you!

More Than a Trophy

This was more than just a title. It was a story of second chances, of newly formed synergy, of emotions breaking through the shell of professionalism. Vitality didn’t just win the Major — they created a moment that will be remembered in Counter-Strike history not just for the trophy, but for the deeply human triumph behind it.
