In one of the most intense lower bracket matches of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, Falcons fell to Brazilian squad MIBR with a 1–2 scoreline, marking the end of their tournament run. Despite a valiant effort from NiKo, m0NESY, and company, the decider map, Inferno, proved fatal for the European lineup.

Ancient — 13:6

Although Ancient was MIBR’s map pick, Falcons controlled the tempo from the start. Their defense was especially dominant, conceding just one round to the Brazilians. MIBR struggled in key duels, while the Europeans showcased their superior class — a convincing start to the series for Falcons.

Nuke — 13:9

As is often the case in CS, the second map — picked by Falcons — went in favor of the opponent. MIBR seized early momentum, winning the first half 10:2. While Falcons mounted a late comeback to bring the score to 12:9, it wasn’t enough — MIBR closed out the final round to tie the series 1–1.

Inferno — 20:22

The decider delivered a true thriller for fans. Regulation time wasn’t enough to settle the score, as the teams headed into overtime. Both sides traded critical rounds, each refusing to back down. But in the end, it was MIBR who held their nerve and edged out Falcons in a grueling contest. Despite their efforts, the European squad exits the tournament.

After the match, Falcons posted a brief apology to their fans on their official account:

Falcons out of Austin Major — MIBR push forward

With this win, MIBR continue their run at the event and will face FaZe tomorrow for a chance to qualify for Stage 3. Falcons, meanwhile, end their BLAST.tv Austin Major campaign prematurely.

For NiKo and kyxsan, this marks the first time in their careers that they have failed to reach the main stage of a Major — a bitter milestone in an already disappointing exit.
