Team Vitality has completed the fifth season of the ESL Grand Slam (formerly known as Intel Grand Slam), securing victory at IEM Melbourne 2025.
This triumph marked their fourth win at an ESL S-Tier event, earning the team the prestigious $1,000,000 bonus prize.
Road to the Grand Slam: The Winning Tournaments
According to the ESL Grand Slam V rules, a team must win three ESL Pro Tour Masters events plus one Championship event (IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, or an ESL-operated CS Major) within ten consecutive tournaments.
Vitality achieved this by winning the following events:
- IEM Cologne 2024 — defeating Natus Vincere in the grand final.
- IEM Katowice 2025 — claiming victory over Team Spirit.
- ESL Pro League Season 21 — beating MOUZ in the final.
- IEM Melbourne 2025 — the decisive win against Team Falcons that sealed the Grand Slam.
These four victories within the allowed tournament span fulfilled all the conditions for winning the ESL Grand Slam.
Prize and Legacy
For their triumph in the ESL Grand Slam V, Team Vitality was awarded an additional $1,000,000, directly paid to the players.
This victory recognizes their dominance during the transition to Counter-Strike 2 and cements their legacy as one of the most successful teams of the era.
